Development Story
The Journey
Dodgy Rush was born from a passion for creating engaging mobile games that are easy to pick up but hard to master. The development process was filled with challenges, from implementing smooth touch controls to balancing the difficulty curve to keep players engaged without frustrating them.
One of the most rewarding aspects was building the vehicle garage system, where players can unlock and upgrade different cars. Each vehicle has unique characteristics that affect gameplay, giving players choices in how they approach the game.
The multi-language support was also a significant undertaking. Supporting multiple languages meant ensuring that the UI could accommodate different text lengths and that all game messages were properly localized. Seeing the language picker menu with options like Russian, Spanish, and Japanese was a proud moment!
After months of development, countless hours of testing, and several rounds of beta feedback, Dodgy Rush was released in May 2017. It's a small game, but it represents a complete vision brought to life—and that's something special.
